About Dr Dami Arewa

The journey to The Arewa Clinic started in 2011 when I pursued a degree in Biochemistry at Lancaster University. There, I delved into the science of life at a molecular level, learning techniques to understand and solve biological problems. It was during this time that I realised my dual passion for science and people. My dissertation focused on how gut health influences both physical and mental well-being, a project that deepened my interest in holistic health.Following this, I moved to Sheffield to complete my medical degree. During my studies, I suffered from a skin condition that sparked my fascination with dermatology and the science of skin health. This personal experience inspired my dedication to optimising skin health for others.I qualified as a medical doctor and am currently training to be a general practitioner with a special interest in dermatology.
Over the years, I have noticed a growing demand for aesthetic treatments but a lack of emphasis on skin rejuvenation and skincare education. The Arewa Clinic was established to fill this gap, focusing on both aesthetic skincare and the education necessary to maintain healthy skin.The Arewa Clinic is a doctor-led aesthetic skincare service dedicated to rejuvenating and enhancing your skin's health and appearance. As a Black doctor, I have a unique understanding of the specific needs of individuals with darker skin tones, such as hyperpigmentation. Our clinic also addresses common skin concerns across all skin tones, including acne, dryness, scarring, and dullness.
